Featured in STAY JAPAN: “Kura-no-Machi Gaia Resort (Murata Town)” Showcased as a Historic Stay Destination
ガイアグループが宮城県村田町で推進する「蔵の街ガイアリゾート」が、日本各地の魅力ある古民家宿を紹介するSTAY JAPAN特集記事に掲載されました。
“Kura-no-Machi Gaia Resort,” developed by the Gaia Group in Murata Town, Miyagi Prefecture, has been featured in a STAY JAPAN special article introducing some of Japan’s most remarkable historic traditional inns.
今回紹介されたのは、一つの宿泊施設ではありません。
町内に点在する古民家や蔵を宿泊施設として活用し、町全体を一つのホテルとして楽しむ「アルベルゴ・ディフーゾ（分散型ホテル）」という新しい滞在スタイルそのものが紹介されています。
The feature highlights not just a single accommodation, but an entirely new travel concept: Albergo Diffuso (the Diffused Hotel), where historic townhouses and traditional kura storehouses become guest rooms, allowing visitors to experience the entire town as one hotel.
2025年には、蔵の街ガイアリゾートが東北地方初となるアルベルゴ・ディフーゾ・スタートアップ認証を取得しました。
現在は国際認証取得に向けた準備地域として、地域全体で受け入れる滞在型観光の実現を目指しています。
In 2025, Kura-no-Machi Gaia Resort became the first destination in the Tohoku region to receive Albergo Diffuso Startup Certification.
The project is currently recognized as a preparation area working toward full international certification while developing a community-based hospitality model.
