A New Journey Through Tohoku Begins at Sendai Airport
For many visitors, every journey through Tohoku begins at Sendai Airport.
Most guests staying at GAIA Resort, both from Japan and overseas, arrive via Sendai Airport before traveling to Zao and other destinations throughout Miyagi Prefecture. Likewise, many villa owners in the Miyagi Zao Villa Association, chaired by GAIA Group President Kunihiro Aizawa, also begin their journeys here.

その目的は空港運営の効率化だけではありません。

Building the Future of Tohoku
In 2016, Sendai Airport became Japan’s first nationally managed airport to adopt the concession model for private operation.
The goal was not simply to improve airport management.
It was to strengthen air networks, increase domestic and international visitors, and stimulate economic and regional development throughout Tohoku.
