On November 4, 2026, EY Japan announced 14 entrepreneurs in 13 finalist entries for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 Japan.

Kunihiro Aizawa, Representative Director of GAIA Corporation, is among the finalists in the Regional Vitalization Leader category. He will take part in the final selection for Japan’s representative alongside entrepreneurs from across the country.

Joining Entrepreneurs from Across Japan

The finalists include leaders of companies such as Japanet Holdings, Synspective, and TENTIAL, each pursuing new possibilities in their respective fields.

The EOY selection emphasizes long-term value through four criteria: entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact.

We are honored to take part and approach this opportunity with a strong sense of responsibility. While learning from the achievements and ambitions of our fellow entrepreneurs, we will share the journey GAIA has taken with its community and the future we hope to help build.

Determined to Give Our Best

Aizawa’s determination for the national selection is expressed in these words:

“I will do everything I can to give my best alongside these outstanding entrepreneurs.”

We see being named a finalist not as the end of a journey, but as the beginning of a new challenge.

What challenges have we faced? What businesses have we developed? What changes have we sought to bring to our community—and what do we want to achieve next?

With gratitude to everyone who has worked alongside us, we are preparing to communicate those experiences and aspirations honestly, in our own words.

Bringing Zao’s Experience to the National Stage

The Zao Forest of Well-being Initiative lies at the heart of GAIA Group’s work. With the aim of creating a community where everyone can live with peace of mind and have a meaningful role, we have connected vacant-home and villa reuse with accommodation, relocation, two-region living, food, agriculture, and collaboration with healthcare and social welfare organizations.

Our message is not simply about the growth of one company. It is about the possibilities that emerge when existing local resources, people, businesses, and everyday life are brought together.

Residents, partner businesses and organizations, property owners, staff, and our customers have all contributed to this journey. We hope to bring the experience developed through these relationships to the national stage.

Japan’s Representative to Be Announced on December 9

The official schedule provides for document reviews and interviews in early to mid-November, followed by the announcement of Japan’s representative at the December 9 awards ceremony.

We aim to make this an opportunity to learn, grow, and bring what we gain back to our community.

With respect for our fellow finalists, we will stay true to our purpose and give our very best.

Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who supports us. We appreciate your continued encouragement as GAIA Group and Kunihiro Aizawa take on this next challenge.

Based on official information available as of November 7, 2026. This announcement confirms the national finalists; Japan’s representative has not yet been announced.
