仙台空港で2026年10月10日（土）、「仙台空港 空の日イベント2026」が開催されます。

普段は立ち入ることのできない滑走路を歩く「早朝ランウェイウォーク」と、駐機中の航空機や空港を支える施設・車両を間近で見学する「場周見学ツアー」が行われます。

参加費は無料ですが、事前申し込みが必要です。応募期間は2026年9月4日（金）までとなっていますので、参加を希望される方はお早めにお申し込みください。

夜明け前の滑走路を歩く「早朝ランウェイウォーク」

早朝ランウェイウォークでは、空港の顔ともいえる滑走路を実際に歩きます。

航空機が離着陸する広大な滑走路を、自分の足で歩くことのできる貴重な機会です。夜明け前から朝へと移り変わる空の表情とともに、普段とはまったく異なる仙台空港を体験できます。

• 受付時間：午前4時～午前4時20分頃
• 実施時間：午前4時45分～午前6時30分頃
• 集合場所：仙台空港ターミナルビル1階・出入口4番
• 募集人数：70名
• 対象：小学生以上
• 申込単位：1名または2名1組

航空機や空港車両を間近で見学する「場周見学ツアー」

場周見学ツアーでは、一般の利用者が通常立ち入ることのできないエリアを巡り、空港の仕事や施設について学びます。

小学生向けのツアーでは、駐機中の航空機を近くから見学し、記念撮影を行う予定です。

中学生以上向けのツアーでは、空港ならではの施設や特殊車両などを、より詳しく見学します。

小学生向けコース

• 1コース：午前10時～午前11時40分頃
• 2コース：午後0時30分～午後2時10分頃
• 3コース：午後2時30分～午後4時10分頃
• 所要時間：各回約100分
• 募集人数：各回40名・合計120名

中学生以上向けコース

• Aコース：午前9時～午前11時頃
• Bコース：午後1時～午後3時頃
• 所要時間：各回約120分
• 募集人数：各回40名・合計80名

集合場所は、仙台空港ターミナルビル1階レクチャールームです。当日は出入口4番付近でスタッフが案内する予定です。

早朝ランウェイウォークには前泊がおすすめ

早朝ランウェイウォークの受付開始は午前4時です。

遠方から参加される方や、ご家族で早朝の移動を予定されている方には、前日の10月9日に仙台沿岸エリアへ宿泊するプランがおすすめです。

仙台港エリアに位置する「シーサイドガイアリゾートホテル」は、仙台東部道路を利用して仙台空港方面へ移動しやすく、早朝イベントに参加する際の前泊拠点としてご利用いただけます。

館内には、コーヒーやジュースなどを楽しめるゲストラウンジを設けています。少人数用の客室から最大6名で利用できるファミリールームまであり、お一人での参加、ご家族やご友人との参加にも対応しています。

敷地内には駐車場もございます。

※ホテルから仙台空港までの送迎は行っておりません。早朝ランウェイウォークへ参加される場合は、自家用車、レンタカー、タクシーなどの移動手段を事前にご手配ください。

Applications Close September 4: Sendai Airport Sky Day Event 2026

Sendai Airport will hold the “Sendai Airport Sky Day Event 2026” on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The event offers two special programs: an early-morning runway walk and guided airport tours featuring parked aircraft, airport facilities and specialized vehicles.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required. Applications will be accepted until Friday, September 4, 2026. If the number of applications exceeds capacity, participants will be selected by lottery.

Early-Morning Runway Walk

Participants will have the rare opportunity to walk on the airport runway before regular airport operations begin.

• Reception: Approximately 4:00–4:20 a.m.
• Program: Approximately 4:45–6:30 a.m.
• Meeting point: Entrance No. 4, first floor of the Sendai Airport terminal
• Capacity: 70 participants
• Eligibility: Elementary school students and older
• Applications: One person or a pair of two

Guided Airport Tours

The tours provide a close look at airport operations, facilities and vehicles.

Three approximately 100-minute tours will be offered for elementary school students, including a close-up view of a parked aircraft and a commemorative photo opportunity.

Two approximately 120-minute tours will be offered for junior high school students and older participants, featuring airport facilities and specialized vehicles.

A total of 200 participants will be accepted, with 40 people in each tour.

Stay at Seaside GAIA Resort Hotel Before the Event

Reception for the runway walk begins at 4:00 a.m. Guests traveling from outside the area may wish to stay near the Sendai coastal area on the previous evening.

Located in the Sendai Port area, Seaside GAIA Resort Hotel offers guest rooms for solo travelers, couples, families and groups of up to six people. The hotel also provides on-site parking and a guest lounge with complimentary coffee and soft drinks.

Please note that the hotel does not provide transportation to Sendai Airport. Participants in the early-morning program should arrange a private car, rental car or taxi in advance.
