Digital nomadism — working remotely while traveling around the world — is becoming increasingly familiar.
A recent study comparing 40 European countries evaluated 19 factors, including rent, food costs, internet speed, coworking spaces, safety, healthcare, English accessibility, local events, and digital nomad visa systems. Estonia ranked first overall.
What is especially interesting is that the evaluation was not based simply on internet speed.
It was about whether people can work comfortably.
Whether they can live safely.
Whether the region has things to enjoy.
Whether they can stay for a longer period.
And whether life outside of work is fulfilling.
In other words, digital nomads are not simply choosing a “place to work.” They are choosing a “place to live while working.”
