According to recent travel statistics published on January 27, 2026, Taiwan recorded approximately 18.94 million outbound travelers in 2025, up by about 12.4% from the previous year, marking a record high. Japan was the top destination for Taiwanese travelers (about 6.7 million), while inbound visits to Taiwan also grew by 9% year-over-year.
